Regional Legal Counsel LATAM

About the role

Swissport, the world’s largest ground handling and aviation services provider, is seeking a Regional Legal Counsel for the LATAM region. Based in Mexico City, you will act as a key legal partner for the Latin American business, supporting commercial, corporate, compliance and transactional matters across multiple countries.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Latin American executive team and global legal department on commercial, corporate, risk and compliance issues.
• Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, leases, licences, confidentiality agreements and other legal documents.
• Support corporate governance of regional subsidiaries and monitor legal and compliance risks.
• Assist in managing litigation or administrative proceedings and coordinate with external counsel.
• Provide guidance on antitrust, anti‑bribery, equal‑opportunity and other regulatory requirements.
• Deliver training sessions and advise the HR team on employment‑law matters.
• Participate in M&A projects and other complex legal assignments as required.

Required profile

• Qualified Attorney at Law in Mexico.
• Minimum 8 years of in‑house or law‑firm experience in commercial and corporate law, preferably in aviation or freight transport.
• Fluent in Spanish and English; Portuguese proficiency is a plus.
• Strong commercial mindset and ability to work independently across a multi‑country region.
