Regional Legal Counsel – LATAM (Mexico City)

About the role

Swissport is seeking a Regional Legal Counsel for the LATAM region, based in Mexico City. You will act as a key legal partner for the Latin American business, supporting commercial, corporate, compliance and transactional matters across multiple countries.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Latin American executive team and global legal department on commercial, corporate, risk and compliance issues.
• Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts, leases, licenses, confidentiality agreements and other legal documents.
• Support corporate governance of regional subsidiaries and monitor legal and compliance risks.
• Assist in managing litigation or administrative proceedings and coordinate with external counsel.
• Provide guidance on antitrust, anti‑bribery, equal‑opportunity and other regulatory requirements.
• Deliver training on legal topics and support HR on employment‑law matters.
• Advise on complex legal projects and contribute to M&A activities.

Required profile

• Mexican Attorney at Law qualification.
• Minimum 8 years of in‑house or law‑firm experience in commercial and corporate law, preferably in aviation or freight transport.
• Strong business acumen and ability to work independently.

Required skills

• Fluent in Spanish and English (reading, writing and negotiating legal documents).
• Good command of Portuguese (optional).
