Remote DevOps Engineer (Azure, AKS, Terraform)

About the role

As a DevOps Engineer at Nortal you will bridge development and operations, accelerating the delivery lifecycle. You will design, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automate infrastructure, and ensure the scalability, security and high availability of our Azure cloud environments.

Key responsibilities

• Provide, configure and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure across multiple environments.
• Manage and optimise Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) clusters, namespaces, workloads and networking.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or ARM templates.
• Design, implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions.
• Support deployment automation using GitOps principles and tools such as Argo CD or Flux.
• Create and maintain Kubernetes manifests and Helm charts.
• Integrate DevSecOps best practices and support compliance with NIST 800-53, StateRAMP and SaaS security standards.
• Implement monitoring, observability and centralized logging with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics or equivalent.

Required profile

• Proactive problem‑solver with a passion for workflow optimisation.
• Experience working with Azure cloud services and AKS.
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as NIST 800‑53 and StateRAMP.
