Restaurant Supervisor – Opening Mama Shelter Mexico City

About the role

Mama Shelter, a hotel group founded in 2008 and part of Ennismore, is hiring a Restaurant Supervisor for its new Mexico City property. The role covers supervising the restaurant during the opening phase, leading the team and ensuring service standards, while taking part in pre-opening activities such as recruitment, training and SOP implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily restaurant operations to ensure efficient, seamless service.
• Lead, train, motivate and support the restaurant team to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
• Ensure service standards, brand guidelines and operational procedures are followed.
• Help with scheduling, task delegation and shift management.
• Monitor guest satisfaction, resolve concerns and handle service recovery.
• Run pre-shift briefings and share daily objectives, promotions and operational updates.
• Support the Restaurant Manager with revenue goals, labour efficiency and cost control.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, health and safety regulations.
• Keep the restaurant clean, organised and welcoming.
• Assist with inventory control, ordering and handling of supplies and equipment.
• Work with the kitchen, bar and other hotel departments.
• Take part in pre-opening activities: recruitment, training, SOP implementation and operational readiness.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of supervisory experience in a restaurant, hotel, resort or lifestyle hospitality setting.
• Strong understanding of restaurant operations, service standards and guest relations.
• Leadership skills and proven ability to motivate and develop teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to stay calm and efficient in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible schedule, available for evenings, weekends and holidays.
• English proficiency preferred; additional languages are an advantage.
