SBOS Engineer

About the role

The SBOS Engineer drives continuous improvement across the plant by leading Lean initiatives, eliminating waste, and enhancing productivity, quality, safety, and efficiency. This role supports the execution of the SBOS strategy through data‑driven analysis, cross‑functional collaboration, and hands‑on coaching.

Key responsibilities

• Lead Kaizen events and Lean projects that deliver measurable cost savings and performance gains.
• Analyze operational data (KPIs, OEE, lead time, waste, capacity) using value‑stream mapping, Pareto charts, root‑cause analysis, and time studies.
• Coach and train operators, technicians, supervisors, and leaders on Lean tools such as 5S, standard work, PDCA, and problem‑solving techniques.
• Facilitate cross‑functional meetings to align production, quality, maintenance, supply chain, and engineering on improvement initiatives.
• Support the deployment of Lean strategy and daily management systems, including visual boards, audits, and structured problem‑solving.

Required profile

• Approximately 5 years of experience in continuous improvement, Lean manufacturing, or operational excellence.
• Proven ability to lead projects that achieve hard savings of around 20 %.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience quantifying impact of process changes.
• Excellent facilitation and training skills to enable cross‑functional teams.
