Segment Buyer – Fabric and Coatings Purchasing

About the role

The Segment Buyer is responsible for purchasing fabric and coating raw materials for multiple product lines. Working within a dedicated purchasing team, the role develops and executes a buying strategy that supports product area managers and global segment managers.

Key responsibilities

• Support multiple product line teams by managing standard components and raw materials.
• Evaluate vendor quotes, services, and savings to select optimal suppliers.
• Manage the full vendor lifecycle, including negotiations, cost modeling, long‑term agreements and resourcing.
• Drive supplier consolidation, cost reduction, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Participate in divisional workshops and Zero‑Defect Strategy activities with supplier quality teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Advanced English proficiency.
• Previous experience in purchasing, raw‑material trends, engineering, quality, or negotiation.
• Strong understanding of fabrics and coatings.
