Semi-Senior Software Engineer (Fintech)

About the role

Félix is building an AI‑powered financial ecosystem for Latin immigrants in the U.S. We are looking for a Semi‑Senior Software Engineer to join our fintech engineering team and help shape the core financial infrastructure that powers our WhatsApp‑based remittance service.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Python.
• Contribute to architecture decisions and help scale payment and financial systems.
• Write clean, testable, and maintainable code with a focus on performance and reliability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues with a long‑term improvement mindset.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define and deliver solutions.
• Use GCP services (Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, Firestore, BigQuery) to build cloud‑native solutions.
• Participate in improving CI/CD pipelines and observability.

Required profile

• Experience beyond the junior level, ready to take on technical ownership.
• Strong problem‑solving attitude and ability to work in a fast‑growing environment.
• Comfortable collaborating across product and engineering teams.
