Senior Accountant – Finance & Accounting

About the role

The Senior Accountant will support the organization’s accounting and financial operations, ensuring accurate records, compliance with internal controls, and timely month‑end close. The role also contributes to financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and audit processes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage Mexico intercompany activities, including cash wire transfers and maquila service transactions.
• Perform and maintain balance‑sheet reconciliations and ensure accurate account balances.
• Support month‑end close: journal entries, reserves, amortizations, bank commissions, account reviews and variance analysis versus budget and forecast.
• Revalue P&L and balance‑sheet accounts and reconcile SAP books in MXN and USD.
• Review and reconcile scrap‑sales invoices.
• Prepare and support P&L and balance‑sheet financial statements.
• Assist internal and external auditors by providing documentation and coordinating requirements.
• Manage Mexico Travel Card, Concur and P‑Card processes.
• Participate in budget and forecast preparation and provide financial support to other departments.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, internal controls and applicable financial standards.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of experience in accounting, finance or a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related discipline (preferred).
• Experience with month‑end close, balance‑sheet reconciliations, journal entries and financial analysis.
• Knowledge of internal controls and audit support (preferred).
• Intermediate proficiency in English.
