Senior Accountant & Full‑Charge Controller (Remote)

About the role

Retrouvai, a globally recognized luxury fine‑jewelry brand, is looking for a Senior Accountant / Controller to own the entire accounting function on a fully remote basis. You will work directly with the founders, ensuring the company’s financial foundation is clean, accurate, and reliable.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger and record all transactions in QuickBooks Online.
• Perform monthly bank and credit‑card reconciliations.
• Manage full‑cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, including invoicing and collections.
• Own the month‑end close process and prepare financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
• Deliver a concise monthly reporting package to leadership, highlighting key trends and variances.
• Process payroll through QuickBooks Online and Gusto, ensuring accurate tax filings.
• Oversee inventory and cost accounting, tracking raw materials, work‑in‑process, finished goods, COGS, and gross margins.
• Establish scalable accounting processes, improve workflows, and introduce automation where appropriate.
• Coordinate with an external CPA for year‑end tax filings.

Required profile

• 5+ years of accounting or full‑charge bookkeeping experience.
• Demonstrated ability to manage the complete monthly close independently.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Fluent written and verbal communication in English.
• Experience in inventory‑based or product businesses is strongly preferred.
• Background in public accounting or CPA track is a plus.
