Senior Accountant

About the role

MTech Systems is looking for a highly motivated Senior Accountant to support the day‑to‑day accounting and finance operations of its Mexico entity. Reporting to the FinOps Manager (US), the role works closely with local payroll, tax and accounting service providers as well as global finance stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate end‑to‑end payroll processing, ensure accurate calculations, bonuses, vacation accruals and statutory benefits, and handle payroll‑related journal entries and reconciliations.
• Manage accounts payable, process vendor invoices and employee expense reimbursements, maintain vendor records, and support cash‑management activities.
• Prepare and post journal entries for payroll, accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, revenue recognition and other transactions; perform monthly account reconciliations and balance‑sheet reviews.
• Support month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close activities, assist in preparing financial statements and management reports, and ensure compliance with Mexican accounting, tax and labor regulations.
• Assist with revenue recognition activities in line with company policies and contribute to financial reporting.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of Mexican accounting, tax and labor regulations.
• Proven experience handling payroll administration, accounts payable, month‑end close and financial reporting.
• Ability to collaborate with local service providers and global finance teams.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Mexican payroll tax obligations (IMSS, INFONAVIT).
• Experience preparing journal entries and performing account reconciliations.
