Senior Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Property Management Client Accounting team. The role will manage the full accounting cycle for a portfolio of commercial real‑estate properties, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting while delivering exceptional client service.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare complete financial statement packages for assigned properties, including journal entries, general‑ledger reviews and supporting schedules.
• Partner with property managers to verify financial data and meet reporting deadlines.
• Record all expenses, receipts, distributions and funding requests accurately each period.
• Audit financial information for compliance with GAAP and internal procedures.
• Respond to inquiries and resolve issues from management teams and clients.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting for the property portfolio.
• Serve as the primary accounting contact for clients and property managers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 1‑3 years of accounting experience, preferably in real‑estate or property management.
• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Detail‑oriented with a focus on accuracy and problem‑solving.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with accounting software such as Yardi or MRI (preferred).
