Senior Accountant – Manufacturing Finance

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to ensure timely and accurate recording of all accounting transactions, maintain compliance with Mexican tax and accounting regulations, and provide reliable financial information that supports business decision‑making in a manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Record daily accounting transactions and maintain the general ledger.
• Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with Mexican tax obligations and electronic accounting requirements.
• Execute month‑end and year‑end closing processes, including bank reconciliations, A/R and A/P management.
• Manage fixed‑asset accounting and depreciation schedules.
• Support internal and external audits and respond to audit queries.
• Utilise ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, Epicor or similar) to streamline accounting workflows.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in general accounting, preferably in manufacturing or maquiladora settings.
• Proven experience preparing financial statements and handling tax compliance.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.

Required skills

• ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, Epicor.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of Mexican tax regulations and electronic accounting standards.
• General accounting principles, bank reconciliations, fixed‑asset accounting.
