Senior Android Developer – Kotlin Multiplatform

About the role

Coforge is looking for a Senior Android Engineer to design and deliver high‑quality, scalable mobile applications. The role is hybrid, based in Hermosillo or Mexico City, and focuses on modern Android and Kotlin Multiplatform development.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to define and build customer‑centric mobile experiences.
• Own the full development lifecycle of Android features, from design through testing, deployment, and post‑launch optimization.
• Develop maintainable, performant Android apps using Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and modern Android frameworks.
• Integrate data via GraphQL and REST APIs and ensure high performance, accessibility, and reliability.
• Contribute to architectural decisions, technical roadmaps, and engineering standards.
• Mentor junior engineers, participate in code reviews, and share knowledge.
• Engage in Agile ceremonies, on‑call rotation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• 6+ years of professional mobile application development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and hands‑on experience with Kotlin Multiplatform.
• Experience building and deploying Android applications at scale.
• Conversational English (written and spoken) and ability to work on‑site three days a week.
