Senior Cloud Platform Engineer

About the role

The Internal Cloud Platforms team at Mastercard is looking for a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer to maintain, operate, and continuously improve multiple internal cloud platforms. You will own the reliability of cloud, PaaS, Cloud Foundry, and pipeline infrastructure, responding quickly to incidents and driving automation.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain monitoring systems to reduce manual intervention.
• Respond to incidents across cloud, PaaS, Cloud Foundry and pipeline environments.
• Participate in an on‑call rotation covering evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Develop high‑quality automation and tooling for detection, self‑healing and recovery.
• Create automation that enables first‑level responders to resolve issues efficiently.
• Write and maintain automation pipelines in Python using Concourse, supporting Cloud Foundry and other internal platforms.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 + years of hands‑on Cloud Engineering Support experience.
• Strong background with private cloud environments and Infrastructure‑as‑Code practices.
• Proven ability to develop automation in Python or similar languages.
• Experience with monitoring, alerting and operational tooling.
