Senior Drilling Engineering Engineer

About the role

Airswift is seeking a Senior Drilling Engineering Engineer to join a drilling services company in Villahermosa, Tabasco. The role focuses on developing detailed drilling programs, analysing well execution, and ensuring multidisciplinary coordination to meet technical, operational, and financial objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate, design, and develop detailed point drilling programs in line with engineering requirements and operational changes.
• Lead project design and construction for unconventional, HP‑HT, and highly complex wells.
• Evaluate TR designs, hydraulics, torque‑and‑drag, and drilling margins, interpreting data from drilling analysts.
• Select appropriate headstocks based on well characteristics, operating conditions, and fluid types.
• Analyse drilling baselines and determine final well trajectories, considering collision scenarios and drilling parameters.
• Alert and present well‑design re‑engineering solutions during drilling operations.
• Assess wellbore parameters, geological data, logs, and nodal analyses to define well termination and production considerations.
• Analyse well productivity designs, interpreting productivity indices, drainage areas, fluid properties, and damage factors.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering (or related) with professional qualification.
• Strong drilling engineering experience with IOC or NOC environments.
• Experience in offshore, onshore, HPHT, and challenging drilling projects.
• Proven ability to manage personnel, equipment, and projects.
