Senior Embedded Software Engineer – Automotive Gateways

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to develop and maintain software for automotive gateway ECUs. You will work on cutting‑edge automotive platforms, applying best‑in‑class development processes and collaborating with global teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, code, configure, unit‑test and document embedded software for automotive gateway ECUs.
• Produce high‑quality, efficient, and maintainable C code following Agile (Scrum) practices.
• Perform code reviews, design reviews, and create technical documentation.
• Translate high‑level requirements into detailed specifications and designs.
• Write and maintain unit test code, support testers, and resolve test issues.
• Coordinate with global team members to meet OEM deliverables and provide technical support.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent.
• 8+ years of experience developing low‑level embedded software in C.
• Extensive experience with debuggers (iSystem, Lauterbach) and configuration/change‑management tools (Integrity, ClearCase, Synergy, Git, JIRA).
• Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostic protocols (UDS, OBD, J1939, J1699, J1979) and communication buses (CAN, CAN FD, LIN, Ethernet).
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken) for global collaboration.
