Senior Engineer, Access Governance (Identity Governance)

About the role

McDonald's Global Technology is opening its Capability Center in Mexico City and is recruiting engineers to join its team. This role sits within the Identity Governance Administration (IGA) program, which covers the planning, design, implementation, maintenance, support and continuous improvement of provisioning and identity governance services across the global enterprise. The ideal candidate has a background in user administration or identity and access management, or in cybersecurity operations, audit or data analytics.

Key responsibilities

• Provide IAM user and stakeholder support
• Gather requirements and help build and validate modernized IAM capabilities
• Ensure application teams align identity governance controls with best practices
• Analyze data, clean it and write project and audit documentation
• Escalate IAM issues and run root cause analysis with engineering leads
• Coordinate IGA system maintenance, change controls, patching and upgrades
• Run reporting and data clean-up, pull audit artifacts and maintain knowledge articles
• Recommend product enhancements, bug fixes and process improvements, and continuously improve the IAM customer experience

Required profile

• 3+ years of hands-on engineering or analyst experience
• 2+ years with identity governance tools or processes preferred
• Good understanding of identity/access management and security best practices
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, with strong documentation skills

Required skills

• Preferred: IAM tools such as Saviynt, SailPoint, Active Directory and Azure Entra ID
• Preferred: familiarity with Service Now, Jira and Confluence
• Preferred: knowledge of IAM interoperability and other IAM systems
