Senior Field Service Engineer – Mexico (Remote)

About the role

Bloom Engineering, a Wabtec Company, is seeking a Senior Field Service Engineer to support its industrial combustion and heating customers across Mexico. You will act as the primary technical authority on‑site, delivering commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance and long‑term optimisation of furnace and heating systems.

Key responsibilities

• Lead commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance and optimisation of new, existing and retrofitted industrial combustion systems throughout Mexico.
• Perform advanced diagnostics, root‑cause analysis and corrective actions on mechanical, electrical and controls‑related issues.
• Review, adjust and support PID loop programming in single‑ and multi‑loop control systems.
• Use electronic diagnostic tools such as multimeters, pressure and flow transmitters, and combustion analyzers to collect and interpret data.
• Serve as the main technical liaison for plant operators, engineers, maintenance teams and management.
• Provide expert recommendations to improve system performance, reliability, efficiency and safety.
• Mentor less‑experienced service personnel, contractors or local support resources.
• Collaborate with U.S.‑based sales, engineering, project management and service teams to resolve technical challenges.
• Prepare detailed service reports, timesheets and technical documentation after each field assignment.
• Ensure compliance with Bloom Engineering safety standards and local/international regulations.

Required profile

• Extensive hands‑on experience with industrial combustion and heating systems.
• Strong customer‑facing skills and ability to build lasting relationships.
• Self‑motivated and capable of working independently while coordinating with remote teams.
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities and a systematic approach to diagnostics.
