About the role
Softgic is looking for a Senior Manual QA Engineer with 5+ years of experience, focused on ensuring the quality of web applications, mobile applications and back-end systems. The role covers functional testing, API and data validation, and detailed defect analysis.
Required profile
- 5+ years of experience in manual QA
- Strong experience testing web and back-end applications
- Experience creating and executing test plans, test cases and test scenarios
- Hands-on experience with API testing
- Ability to execute SQL queries for data validation
- Experience with exploratory, usability and risk-based testing
- Excellent bug documentation skills, including clear reproduction steps, logs and supporting evidence
- Experience collaborating with Development, Product and other teams
Required skills
- Manual testing: test plans, test cases and test scenarios
- Regression, smoke and exploratory testing
- API testing with Postman or Bruno
- SQL and data integrity validation
- Cross-browser, cross-device and cross-platform compatibility testing
- Bug tracking in JIRA, QMetry, Zephyr or TestRail
- Understanding of SDLC, STLC and defect lifecycle
- Use of AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor and LLMs, with prompt engineering applied to QA processes
