Senior Quality Engineer – Automotive Manufacturing

About the role

As a Senior Quality Engineer at MAHLE, you will safeguard product conformity and process stability across automotive production operations. You will lead the shop‑floor quality team, fostering a preventive culture and driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor quality KPIs (scrap, PPM, rejects) and trigger corrective actions.
• Oversee execution of QA controls, PFMEA, Control Plans and reaction plans.
• Lead root‑cause analysis and problem‑solving using 8D, A3, DMAIC.
• Manage containment activities for non‑conforming products.
• Coordinate process and product audits, ensuring timely closure of findings.
• Set priorities, distribute workload and mentor the shop‑floor quality team.
• Ensure compliance with MAHLE’s Quality Management System (MBMS) guidelines.

Required profile

• 5+ years of quality experience in the automotive industry.
• Minimum 3 years in a quality coordination or leadership role.
• Hands‑on experience with 8D, SPC, GR&R, MSA, PFMEA, Control Plans, PPAP and new product launches.
• Upper‑intermediate English proficiency and ability to travel to the U.S.
