Senior Software Engineer - DevelOps

About the role

EarnIn is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join its DevelOps team and design and ship AI-native tooling and agentic workflows that speed up how engineers build, ship and operate software. The position is remote, though it could also be hybrid from the Mexico City office as part of the expanding site.

Key responsibilities

• Build tools and automation that solve the real friction slowing down engineering teams.
• Design, develop and implement tools, systems and processes that increase engineering velocity and quality.
• Use LLM APIs, agentic workflows, MCP patterns and AI-assisted development environments to redesign high-productivity engineering teams.
• Architect and operate multi-step agentic systems with clear inputs, outputs, validation checkpoints and human-in-the-loop guardrails.
• Embed AI-assisted capabilities into CI/CD pipelines and GitHub Actions workflows.
• Advise product engineering teams on building observable, scalable systems and partner with them to turn high-friction workflows into measurable automation.
• Instrument AI features with logging, monitoring and evaluation, and document patterns and best practices.

Required profile

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 3+ years building infrastructure or internal tooling for developer teams.
• Firsthand experience with the tools, workflows and pain points of software engineering teams.
• Experience building and deploying agentic or LLM-powered systems in production, including MCP patterns or multi-step agent architectures.
• Ability to define metrics for AI-assisted tooling and run time-bound experiments to validate impact.
• Clear written and verbal communication, able to advise and influence partner engineering teams in a distributed setting.

Required skills

• Fluency in Python or Go.
• Hands-on experience with LLM APIs (Anthropic Claude, OpenAI or equivalent) and trade-offs around context, latency, cost and safety.
• GitHub Actions or similar CI/CD platforms, including custom workflows and reusable actions.
• Daily use of AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, Claude Code or Copilot.
