Senior Specialist, Direct Materials Procurement

About the role

The Senior Specialist, Direct Materials Procurement supports strategic sourcing and management of primary packaging and other direct material categories. The role collaborates with suppliers and cross‑functional partners to drive cost, quality, service, innovation and sustainability improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Own category strategy and execution for direct materials such as capsules, screwcaps, wirehoods and luxury boxes, supporting glass and cans sourcing.
• Develop and implement sourcing plans that improve cost, quality, service, supply continuity, innovation and overall value.
• Lead competitive sourcing activities, supplier evaluations, negotiations and contract drafting/execution.
• Proactively manage supplier contracts through renegotiation, extension, renewal and performance reviews.
• Identify procurement and packaging risks, recommend solutions and coordinate cross‑functional actions for new product development.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Accounting or related field; MBA preferred.
• At least three years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing, direct materials procurement or related discipline, preferably in consumer packaged goods.
• Strong project‑management, analytical, problem‑solving and organizational capabilities.

Required skills

• Knowledge of strategic sourcing, category management, supplier management and competitive bidding processes (RFI, RFP, RFQ).
• Supplier negotiation, contract drafting and contract management expertise.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with e‑procurement, project‑management and data‑analysis tools.
