Senior Staff Engineer - PCB Design

About the role

Aurora Networks is seeking a highly skilled Senior Staff PCB Designer to design printed circuit boards across its products. You will shape next-generation hardware from concept through fabrication, working alongside electrical and mechanical engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design and document high-density PCB layouts that follow manufacturing standards and Aurora's design guidelines, using supplied schematics and design constraints.
• Develop PCB layouts for broadband network designs across R&D, Access Technologies and Broadband Networks.
• Support form factor accurate (FFA) test platform boards, covering digital processors, RF amplifiers and power control devices.
• Work with micro-vias (stacked), sequential lamination stack-ups and design rules for 0.5mm pitch and smaller packages.
• Collaborate with US and Mexico teams on high-performance electronic assemblies.
• Present design trade-offs and solutions to the engineering team and coordinate with Engineering and Manufacturing, resolving issues with fabrication and assembly vendors.
• Prepare design reviews, contribute to DFM checklists and process improvements, and guide team members and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, electronics engineering technology or a related field.
• 8+ years of active PCB high-speed design and RF mixed-signal work.
• Proven ability to handle complex PCB design tasks and to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external suppliers.

Required skills

• DFM analysis with Valor and/or CAM350.
• Siemens Mentor Xpedition PCB design software.
• RF, analog and high-speed digital design, including DDR2/3/4/5.
• EMI mitigation techniques and familiarity with PWB process trends.
