Senior Tax Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Tax Specialist to lead tax compliance for our operations in Mexico and act as a strategic partner to the business. The role combines hands‑on compliance work with advisory responsibilities, influencing decisions across projects and commercial initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all Mexican tax obligations, including VAT, income tax, withholding taxes, and local taxes.
• Assess tax implications of business transactions, new projects, and commercial initiatives.
• Identify tax risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Support audits and manage interactions with the tax authority (SAT).
• Review tax calculations, filings, and reconciliations for accuracy and compliance.
• Monitor changes in Mexican tax legislation and lead required adjustments.
• Support transfer‑pricing documentation and intercompany transactions when applicable.
• Improve tax processes and internal controls to enhance governance.
• Collaborate with external advisors for specialized support.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Tax, Finance, or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of progressive corporate tax experience.
• Experience in multinational companies is strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to support business decisions from a tax perspective.
• Advanced/Fluent English (mandatory).

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of Mexican tax legislation.
• Experience with complex tax matters.
• Solid understanding of accounting‑tax interaction.
