Software Development Engineer II – Devices Sales & Customer Experience

About the role

As a Software Development Engineer II on the Devices Sales & Customer Experience team, you will help build and evolve the core services that power Amazon’s device portfolio, from Echo to Fire TV. You will work at global scale, delivering reliable, high‑performance systems that directly affect millions of customers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain large‑scale distributed systems that process millions of requests daily.
• Leverage AI/ML, cloud computing and modern development frameworks to create innovative device‑related solutions.
• Balance performance, reliability and scalability in all implementations.
• Participate in technical decision‑making that shapes the future of Amazon’s device platforms.
• Automate and improve critical business processes across inventory, shopping experience, subscriptions and financial systems.

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional software development experience (non‑internship).
• 2+ years of design or architecture experience with new or existing systems.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
• Full software development life‑cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, testing and operations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
