Software Development Engineer

About the role

Audible is looking for a Software Development Engineer to design, build and maintain the technology that powers its global audiobook platform. You will work within the Marketing Technology (MarTech) team to create systems that enable personalized, real‑time messaging for millions of listeners.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, test and maintain scalable software components for Audible’s audiobook services.
• Identify and resolve defects through code reviews, log analysis, debugging and metrics examination.
• Write clean, maintainable code as part of an agile engineering team.
• Collaborate with product and marketing stakeholders to design and launch customer‑centric features.
• Ensure data classification, storage and management comply with company policies.
• Contribute to operational excellence, testability and documentation of owned services.
• Participate in technical interviews and mentor junior engineers.
