Software Engineer – AI & MLOps

About the role

Join Ford's Global Data Insights and Analytics (GDI&A) team as a Software Engineer focused on AI and MLOps. You will work on building scalable, production‑grade applications that serve machine‑learning models across the company, leveraging Google Cloud Platform and emerging generative‑AI technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Python‑based applications that integrate GenAI, LLMs, and traditional ML models.
• Collaborate with senior developers, tech anchors, and product managers to scale the AI/MLOps platform on GCP.
• Write clean, testable code, conduct code reviews, and manage version control with Git.
• Assist in creating autonomous AI agents using frameworks such as LangGraph or ADK.
• Deploy AI models to production, run simulations, and help define intelligent system architectures.
• Develop RESTful APIs to connect services within the ML platform.
• Automate model training, retraining, and deployment pipelines using CI/CD/CT practices.
• Experiment with NLP, computer vision, Kubernetes, and other emerging technologies.

Required profile

• English proficiency (written and verbal).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• At least 2 years of professional experience with Python and cloud services, preferably GCP Vertex AI.

Required skills

• Python programming.
• Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, especially Vertex AI.
• Experience with generative AI, large language models (LLMs), and frameworks such as LangGraph or ADK.
• RESTful API development.
• CI/CD pipelines, Agile methodologies, and DevSecOps principles.
• Container orchestration with Kubernetes.
• Version control with Git and collaborative tools like GitHub Copilot.
