Software Engineer (Platform) – Automotive

About the role

We are looking for a Software Engineer (Platform) to join our automotive Advanced Driver Assist Systems (ADAS) project in Queretaro, Mexico. The role focuses on developing AUTOSAR‑based platform components that fuse data from ultrasonic sensors, analog and digital cameras, and run computer‑vision algorithms to detect objects and predict trajectories. The position is 100 % onsite and works with cutting‑edge hardware and tooling.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and integrate AUTOSAR application components, including reuse of internal standard software and third‑party modules.
• Create detailed software design, unit‑test specifications and test reports aligned with the software architecture.
• Write source code following coding guidelines and perform static analysis to ensure MISRA compliance.
• Execute unit tests, generate test reports and commit artifacts to the configuration‑management system using CI, Gerrit and related tools.
• Maintain daily updates in CoreALM tickets, report progress in project meetings and ensure deliverable quality against KPIs.
• Implement fixes and changes from problem reports, support peer reviews, and participate in technical audits.
• Maintain production software by analyzing customer change requests, implementing updates, supporting validation and releasing new versions.
• Travel to the customer site as needed.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of software engineering principles and best practices.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Experience in embedded software development using C.
• Familiarity with automotive network interfaces such as CAN, LIN and Ethernet.
• Hands‑on experience with Classic AUTOSAR and AUTOSAR basic software (BSW) application‑layer development.
• Proficiency with version‑control tools (e.g., GIT) and CI/Gerrit workflows.
