Software Engineering Team Lead

About the role

Bosch is seeking a Software Engineering Team Lead to manage and technically guide a team developing vehicle communication gateway modules. The role involves coordinating development activities across North America and offshore locations, ensuring high‑quality embedded software delivery for automotive applications.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with global embedded software development teams.
• Plan and manage resources for software development activities.
• Evaluate and deploy new development technologies and CI/CD strategies for autonomous and connected vehicle platforms.
• Continuously assess team performance and current development frameworks/toolchains.
• Interact with local and global non‑software discipline teams to align project deliverables.
• Provide technical support to global team members.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent.
• 8+ years of embedded control module software engineering experience.
• 5+ years of project management experience.
• 8+ years using configuration and change‑management tools (Integrity, ClearCase, Synergy, Git, JIRA, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of diagnostic communication protocols (UDS, OBD, J1939, J1699, J1979).
• Familiarity with ASPICE, MISRA, FSM and cybersecurity applied to software development.
• Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
• Proven ability to work effectively with global clients and teams.
