Special Project Manager

About the role

The Special Projects Department at Vestas seeks a seasoned manager to lead complex operational projects, including turbine component replacements and blade repairs, across multi‑brand initiatives. Based in Mexico City, you will oversee field teams, ensure asset performance, and drive strategic improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the local field operations team.
• Ensure optimized operation of customer assets with focus on quality, HSE, and performance.
• Deliver operational performance aligned with forecasts and planning.
• Oversee security, maintenance activities, and employee development.
• Provide strategic guidance to field management and secure team commitment.
• Build strong customer relationships, addressing critical issues transparently.
• Improve productivity and reduce costs using KPIs.
• Support the Service Director in developing area strategy.
• Develop budgets and programs to increase profitability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience, including at least 3 years as a project manager within Operations/Service.
• Proven ability to manage teams effectively in a multinational environment.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
