Staff Accountant – Accounting Operations

About the role

The Staff Accountant supports the company's accounting operations by accurately recording, reconciling, analyzing, and reporting financial transactions. This position is essential for maintaining the integrity of financial records, assisting with month‑end close, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries, accruals, reclassifications, and other accounting transactions in line with company policies and U.S. GAAP.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, delivering timely and accurate financial results.
• Maintain fixed‑asset records, including additions, disposals, retirements, and depreciation calculations.
• Produce account analyses and supporting schedules for management, corporate, and statutory reporting.
• Perform balance‑sheet reconciliations for assets, prepaid expenses, accruals, and other accounts.
• Investigate and resolve reconciling items and discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with SOX, internal controls, and governance policies.
• Identify process gaps and recommend improvements for accounting efficiency.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and local statutory accounting requirements.
• Ability to maintain high standards of accuracy, confidentiality, and ethical conduct.
• Detail‑oriented with solid analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration with finance teams, controllers, and business stakeholders.
