Staff Accountant – Full-charge Accounting for Foodservice Operator

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Staff Accountant to own the day‑to‑day accounting for a growing multi‑location foodservice and concessions operator. This hands‑on position manages everything from daily sales to payroll, payables, receivables, and cash‑flow forecasting while supporting budgeting and analysis alongside the CEO and a fractional CFO.

Key responsibilities

• Post daily sales from Toast and Subway POS systems and perform weekly hard closes.
• Enter and code accounts payable in Ramp, maintain vendor records, and manage payment timing.
• Maintain a rolling 30‑day cash‑flow projection refreshed each Tuesday.
• Reconcile all bank and credit‑card accounts monthly and keep bank feeds current.
• Import payroll journal entries from Paycor, book accruals, and reconcile payroll liabilities.
• Own monthly reconciliations of key balance‑sheet accounts with supporting schedules.
• Prepare and issue management‑fee, labor, and percentage‑rent invoices; apply cash receipts.
• Book cost of goods sold, reconcile inventory, and maintain chart of accounts by location.
• Support sales and use tax filings, track loan and financing balances, and assist with audits.
• Develop and maintain SOPs for recurring accounting processes.

Required profile

• Hands‑on accounting professional comfortable managing full‑cycle responsibilities.
• Experience working with multi‑location businesses and collaborating with senior leadership.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver a clean, dependable monthly close.
