Strategic Sourcing Specialist

About the role

The Strategic Sourcing Specialist will lead end‑to‑end procurement activities for mechanical components and raw materials, supporting new projects, product launches and development initiatives. The role requires close collaboration with engineering, production and finance teams to ensure cost‑effective sourcing while maintaining quality and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans for mechanical components and raw materials.
• Manage the full source‑to‑contract cycle, from supplier identification to contract negotiation and implementation.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to align sourcing strategies with project timelines and product specifications.
• Monitor supplier performance, conduct risk assessments and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Prepare and present sourcing reports, cost analyses and dashboards using Power BI.
• Travel occasionally, including international trips, to evaluate suppliers and attend project meetings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement, materials management or related enterprise systems.
• Proven experience in strategic sourcing of mechanical components and raw materials.
• Strong interpersonal and coordination abilities.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.

Required skills

• Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
• Power BI for data visualization and reporting.
• Oracle ERP or comparable enterprise resource planning system.
