Structural Designer - Modeler

About the role

SSOE is seeking a Structural Designer - Modeler to support semiconductor manufacturing facilities and tool installation projects. Working under the guidance of a project engineer or department manager, you will handle routine to intermediate structural design tasks, contributing to the delivery of high‑quality, on‑schedule projects.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze sketches, notes, and input materials to determine optimal drawing approaches.
• Develop structural models in Revit, ensuring accuracy, data integrity, and cross‑discipline coordination within the BIM environment.
• Create and maintain AutoCAD drawing templates, blocks, and layer standards specific to semiconductor facilities.
• Design structural modifications and tie‑in details for renovation and expansion projects using AutoCAD.
• Perform routine designs of beams, columns, foundations, and vibration‑sensitive equipment supports.
• Stay current with Revit updates, BIM workflows, and emerging design technologies.
• Apply discipline‑specific design standards, codes, and best practices.
• Conduct routine design calculations and prepare basic layouts for engineer review.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (highly preferred) or architecture.
• At least 4 years of experience in structural design.
• Ability to work under supervision, with occasional progress checks and final reviews.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and willingness to seek assistance when needed.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Revit.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Experience with BIM coordination.
