Supplier Quality & Development Leader

About the role

We are seeking a Supplier Quality & Development Leader to drive the identification, qualification, and long‑term performance of automotive suppliers in low‑cost‑country regions. Based in Saltillo, the role will focus on building strategic partnerships, ensuring quality standards, and improving cost competitiveness.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and qualify potential suppliers with relevant manufacturing competencies for strategic partnership.
• Conduct comprehensive supplier assessments covering processes, technical capabilities, quality systems, APQP readiness, financial health, and risk exposure.
• Develop and execute improvement strategies, corrective‑action roadmaps, and continuous‑improvement plans.
• Analyze supplier cost structures, perform should‑cost analyses, and support cost‑reduction initiatives.
• Monitor key performance indicators such as PPM, OTD, scrap rates, and audit scores, driving performance improvements.
• Travel internationally as required to support supplier development in American and European regions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in supplier development, supplier quality, or procurement within the automotive industry.
• Fluent English proficiency.
• Strong communication, leadership, and relationship‑building abilities.
