About the role

The Supply Chain Scheduler is responsible for maintaining optimal inventory levels of raw materials and component families, ensuring that production schedules are met and customer demand is fulfilled. This role works closely with suppliers, logistics, and internal teams to anticipate needs and prevent material shortages.

Key responsibilities

  • Monitor and report daily inventory levels for assigned material families.
  • Follow up Master Production Schedule (MPS) achievement and propose preventive actions to guarantee material availability.
  • Set and adjust inventory targets, lead reduction initiatives, and measure Supplier Service Rate (SSR) for each supplier.
  • Plan raw material and component requirements based on Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) and MPS, and send weekly forecasts to suppliers.
  • Track daily material arrivals, ensure on‑time shipments, and communicate precise information to supplier contacts.
  • Identify bottlenecks, propose quick corrective actions, and attend logistics/purchasing meetings to follow up on action plans.
  • Support implementation of supply‑chain tools such as pull flow, Kanban, EDI, and milk‑run processes.
  • Collaborate with external flow analysts on inbound transportation plans and assist with inventory counting and accuracy.
  • Alert sales and management during crises, define priorities, and coordinate escalation when needed.
  • Maintain regular supplier contacts, establish logistics protocols, and ensure backup coverage during holidays.

Required profile

  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret inventory and production data.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Proactive problem‑solver capable of identifying and resolving supply‑chain bottlenecks.
  • Organized and detail‑oriented, able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Required skills

  • Experience with ERP systems for inventory control.
  • Knowledge of Kanban methodology.
  • Familiarity with Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) processes.
  • Understanding of milk‑run logistics.
