Tax Associate – Mexico City

About the role

The Tax Associate will join Greenberg Traurig’s Mexico City Tax team, providing non‑contentious tax advisory and consulting services to domestic and multinational clients. This mid‑level position requires a motivated lawyer or accountant with at least four years of post‑qualification experience.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver domestic and international tax planning and advisory.
• Support corporate restructurings, mergers and acquisitions from a tax perspective.
• Conduct transfer pricing analyses and related documentation.
• Provide general tax advisory services across various industries.
• Collaborate with local and global tax colleagues to address cross‑border tax issues.

Required profile

• Minimum four years of post‑qualification experience in tax advisory and consulting.
• Strong knowledge of Mexican tax law and familiarity with international tax principles, treaties and cross‑border structuring.
• Ability to translate complex tax and legal concepts into practical commercial advice.
• Excellent oral and written communication, presentation and influencing skills.
