Tax Manager – Multinational Manufacturing (Mexico)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Tax Manager to lead tax activities for a leading multinational manufacturing organization operating in Mexico. The role combines strategic oversight with hands‑on management of complex tax matters across multiple legal entities.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee compliance with federal, state and local tax obligations for all Mexican entities.
• Identify and implement tax optimisation opportunities while managing risk.
• Develop, document and support tax planning strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Lead and coordinate tax audits, reviews and inquiries from tax authorities.
• Act as the primary liaison with regulatory stakeholders and global tax leadership.
• Drive VAT recovery initiatives and manage complex indirect‑tax issues.
• Assess tax implications of transactions and strategic initiatives.
• Collaborate with finance and business leaders to provide tax‑focused decision support.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to the local tax team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive tax experience, preferably in multinational environments.
• Proven experience managing tax matters across multiple legal entities.
• Previous experience leading and developing teams.
• Advanced English communication skills for interaction with international stakeholders.
• Experience reporting to regional or global leadership teams.
• Background in the manufacturing industry is a plus.
