Team Leader – Embedded Software Development

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Embedded Software Team Leader to drive the design, development and debugging of firmware for micro‑controller based platforms at Bosch in Guadalajara. The role bridges embedded code with larger system components such as Android and Windows, ensuring seamless integration and automated testing.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development of clean, efficient C/C++ firmware for micro‑controller targets.
• Coordinate system‑level validation, writing Python test scripts and interfacing with Android/Windows environments.
• Investigate field issues, perform root‑cause analysis and deliver bug fixes, performance improvements and security updates.
• Collaborate with Electronics, Systems and Software teams to translate hardware requirements into reliable solutions.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of professional embedded software development experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to lead cross‑functional communication.

Required skills

• Proficiency in C and C++ for embedded systems.
• Hands‑on experience with RTOS (Linux‑RT) and bare‑metal microcontrollers.
• Python scripting for automated testing and familiarity with Android/ADB interfaces.
• Knowledge of communication protocols: CAN, LIN, SPI, I2C, UART.
• Use of hardware debugging tools (JTAG, SWD) and lab equipment (oscilloscope, logic analyzer).
• Understanding of Ethernet/TCP‑IP, IoT/cloud security and vehicle/industrial diagnostics.
