Technical Construction Expert – Mexico

About the role

ACCIONA is seeking a senior Technical Construction Expert to lead the construction delivery of Water Infrastructure for the Future (WIFA) projects in Mexico. The role bridges engineering design and field execution, ensuring that construction methods, sequencing and technical solutions meet design intent, regulatory requirements and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the technical authority for all Mexico‑based WIFA work packages, translating designs into constructible solutions.
• Provide constructability input during feasibility, early works and detailed design phases.
• Conduct technical risk assessments related to construction sequencing, logistics and site constraints.
• Participate in multidisciplinary design reviews to validate staging, access and sequencing.
• Resolve field issues, RFIs and design clarifications during construction.
• Coordinate with Project Director, Construction Lead, Operations Manager and design teams to address constructability challenges throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in construction engineering for water treatment, conveyance, pumping and related infrastructure.
• Proven ability to work on cross‑border projects and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong understanding of regulatory conditions, safety standards and construction best practices.
