Tenure-Track Faculty Position in Biomedical Engineering

About the role

The School of Biomedical Engineering at Nanjing University seeks outstanding scholars to join its faculty on a full‑time, tenure‑track or tenured basis. Positions are open at the Assistant, Associate, and Full Professor levels across all areas of biomedical engineering.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and lead an independent research program aligned with the school’s strategic priorities.
• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses and supervise graduate students and postdoctoral researchers.
• Secure external funding, publish high‑impact research, and contribute to the academic community.
• Participate in departmental service, curriculum development, and outreach activities.

Required profile

• PhD in biomedical engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Strong record of independent research, publications, and, for senior levels, demonstrated scholarly impact.
• Passion for teaching, mentorship, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• For Assistant Professor: at least three years of post‑doctoral or equivalent industry experience (exceptional recent PhDs may be considered).
