Transport Director – Latin America

About the role

The Transport Director for LATAM will lead the strategic and operational management of transportation solutions across all ECLA countries except Brazil. This senior position is responsible for designing, modeling, and implementing efficient, safe, and cost‑effective logistics networks that meet customer needs.

Key responsibilities

• Design and evolve the regional transportation network, covering road, intermodal, cross‑border, LTL/FTL, and last‑mile services.
• Model multimodal solutions, evaluate new logistics corridors, hubs, and strategic partnerships.
• Prepare comprehensive business cases, including CAPEX, OPEX, revenue, margins, EBITDA and ROI analyses.
• Support commercial teams on complex proposals, RFPs, and negotiations with regional customers.
• Lead project delivery, ensuring on‑time, on‑budget execution and tracking of operational and financial KPIs.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams (Operations, Commercial, Finance, IT, Legal, Procurement) for integrated implementation.
• Identify automation and digitalisation opportunities (TMS, visibility platforms, control tower, routing, tracking, billing) and build business cases for technology adoption.
• Participate in due‑diligence and integration of acquired transportation assets, capturing synergies quickly.
• Prepare professional RFP responses, defining fleet, partners, processes, SLAs, KPIs, routes, costs and governance models.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading transportation network development and expansion at a regional or multinational level.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to build financial models and business cases.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, capable of coordinating diverse functional teams.
• Strategic thinker who can translate market trends into actionable logistics solutions.
• Experience in due‑diligence, acquisition integration, and partnership negotiations.
