Applications Technician

About the role

ROHA is seeking an Applications Technician to join its R&D team in Queretaro, Mexico. You will work on formulation and analytical chemistry projects that support the development of new colors and food ingredients for a global market.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, design and conduct research in formulation and analytical chemistry to create new products and analytical methods.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of analytical chemistry techniques, formulation methods and chemical theory.
• Act as a technical consultant and troubleshoot complex formulation or analytical issues across R&D, plant and QC labs.
• Coordinate and improve testing and development efficiencies within the global technical team.
• Validate analytical methods using relevant food matrices, ensuring specificity, linearity, accuracy, precision, range, detection and quantification limits.
• Establish robust methods that remain reliable despite small variations in parameters.

Required profile

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in formulation, analytical chemistry or related food‑ingredient R&D.
• Basic knowledge of SAP.
• Strong understanding of color applications across beverages, confectionery, dairy, bakery, savory and other product categories.
• Familiarity with food regulations such as FDA, Codex and other local/international standards.
• Excellent problem‑solving, documentation and communication skills with a customer‑oriented mindset.
