Associate Director, Medical Affairs – Respiratory

About the role

The Associate Director, Medical Affairs – Respiratory will lead the development and execution of the Country Medical Affairs Plan, serving as the primary scientific liaison between the company and external medical experts. This role balances strategic planning with up to 30% of time spent in direct scientific engagements with key opinion leaders and decision makers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and continuously adapt the Country Medical Affairs Plan in line with global and regional strategies.
• Provide balanced, non‑promotional scientific information that complies with local regulations.
• Manage budgets for non‑promotional medical education programs and Group Input Meetings.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with Marketing, Market Access, Regulatory Affairs, Pharmacovigilance and Clinical Operations.
• Identify and engage investigators for clinical development programs and support Investigator‑Initiated Studies.
• Lead peer‑to‑peer scientific exchange, advisory boards and educational collaborations with the external medical community.
• Review promotional materials for medical accuracy and compliance.

Required profile

• Significant experience in medical affairs within the respiratory therapeutic area.
• Proven ability to develop and execute country‑level medical strategies.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements for scientific communications.
• Excellent collaboration skills with internal functions and external stakeholders.
• Experience managing budgets for medical education activities.
