Cloud Information Security Engineer

About the role

Mastercard is looking for a Cloud Information Security Engineer to join its Corporate Security team. The role focuses on designing and implementing cloud‑native and cloud‑agnostic security solutions that enable secure deployment of Mastercard applications and services.

Key responsibilities

• Perform technology evaluations, develop business cases, define test cases, and select vendors based on industry standards.
• Design, test, and implement security solutions that satisfy security and regulatory requirements for cloud environments.
• Collaborate with senior cloud security engineers and development/operations teams to securely design applications and services following best practices.
• Maintain relationships with internal stakeholders such as business owners, project managers, engineers, and leaders.
• Apply information security principles, theories, and concepts in daily work.
• Conduct security analysis of application architectures and cloud services.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years of experience, preferably with exposure to AWS or Azure.
• Strong understanding of information security, risk management, and data privacy in digital commerce.
• Familiarity with security considerations for cloud‑native and multi‑cloud applications and infrastructure.
• Knowledge of firewalls, threat prevention/detection, and application security principles.
• Applied knowledge of cryptography and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI).
• Good grasp of identity management, user authentication, and authorization.
• Ability to work independently.
