Cloud Security Engineer

About the role

The Cloud Security Engineer is responsible for designing, deploying, and operating a secure cloud infrastructure that supports business objectives. This role ensures that cloud environments are protected, compliant, and resilient across SaaS, IaaS, and PaaS platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain cloud security policies, standards, and baseline configurations.
• Apply approved security controls using cloud‑native tools and templates.
• Conduct routine compliance checks and threat assessments, escalating gaps as needed.
• Monitor security alerts, logs, and tool dashboards to detect potential threats.
• Partner with engineering, DevOps, and compliance teams to embed security requirements into cloud deployments and CI/CD pipelines.
• Support remediation efforts by tracking issues, validating fixes, and documenting outcomes.
• Deploy, configure, and maintain cloud security tools, ensuring they are up‑to‑date and properly managed.
• Document security decisions, configurations, and incident responses for audit and reporting purposes.

Required profile

• Experience working with cloud environments (SaaS, IaaS, PaaS) and security best practices.
• Ability to follow established procedures and guidelines under senior guidance.
• Strong analytical skills for risk analysis and threat assessment.
