Design Engineer – SolidWorks & Windchill

About the role

The Design Engineer will support manufacturing, validation, and product lifecycle activities by creating, modifying, and maintaining 3D models and technical drawings. You will manage engineering changes within the Windchill PLM system and ensure compliance in a regulated environment.

Key responsibilities

• Create, modify, and release 3D models and 2D drawings using SolidWorks.
• Manage Change Orders (CO), Change Notices (CN), and Change Requests (CR) in Windchill, maintaining documentation control and traceability.
• Update Bills of Materials (BOMs) and related documentation.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, validation, and production teams to review and approve design updates.
• Support engineering change orders affecting parts, assemblies, and processes.
• Generate detailed specifications and design documentation aligned with standards.
• Assist validation activities (IQ/OQ/PQ) and ensure design compliance.
• Participate in root‑cause analysis, troubleshooting, and provide technical support on the shop floor.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of design engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong experience with SolidWorks (certification preferred).
• Hands‑on experience managing CO, CN, and CR processes.
• Proficiency with Windchill PLM for document and change control.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation.
• Intermediate to advanced English proficiency (written and verbal).
