About the role
The Head of Business Development for the LATAM market will report to the Chief Commercial Officer and drive high‑impact deals across the region. This senior leader will own the full business development cycle, from prospecting to closing, with a focus on strategic integrations that expand on‑chain activity.
Key responsibilities
- Lead direct and channel‑partner business development efforts across LATAM.
- Identify, negotiate, and close strategic client integrations with remittance firms, neobanks, super‑apps, financial institutions and other platforms.
- Build and maintain a high‑quality pipeline aimed at increasing transaction flows, wallet activity and on‑chain asset usage within 18 months.
- Increase Algorand’s visibility by representing the Foundation at regional events, client meetings and industry forums.
- Develop a strong local network of founders, executives, regulators and ecosystem partners.
- Travel regularly throughout the region to meet partners and stakeholders.
Required profile
- Extensive network and commercial judgment within fintech, banking, payments and digital‑asset ecosystems in LATAM.
- Proven ability to build trust with senior decision‑makers and act as a visible market leader.
- Strong track record of originating and closing strategic partnerships.
