HIL & BSM Engineer – Automotive Validation

About the role

We are looking for a skilled HIL & BSM Engineer to support automotive system validation and testing for advanced vehicle programs. The role involves developing hardware‑in‑the‑loop test setups, validating body and safety modules, and ensuring compliance with automotive quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, execute, and maintain HIL test setups and test cases using dSPACE, Vector, or NI platforms.
• Perform validation and verification activities for Body and Safety Module (BSM) systems.
• Work with automotive ECUs, vehicle networks, and embedded systems to automate test scripts and validation frameworks.
• Analyze system behavior, troubleshoot issues, and support root‑cause analysis.
• Validate CAN, LIN, Ethernet, and diagnostic communication (UDS).
• Support system integration, regression testing, and functional validation.
• Collaborate with software, hardware, and system engineering teams.
• Prepare test reports, validation documentation, and defect tracking.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in automotive embedded systems testing and vehicle‑level validation.
• Knowledge of ISO 26262 functional safety concepts.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodology.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with HIL testing tools such as dSPACE, Vector, or NI platforms.
• Strong knowledge of automotive communication protocols: CAN, LIN, Ethernet, UDS.
• Experience with BSM (Body and Safety Module) validation.
• Proficiency in CAPL, Python, MATLAB/Simulink, or automation scripting.
• Use of CANoe, CANalyzer, or similar diagnostic tools.
• Strong debugging and problem‑solving abilities.
