Human Resources Specialist I

About the role

The Human Resources Specialist I supports the execution of business strategy by applying HR principles, practices, and tools. Working closely with HR Business Partners, the role ensures a positive work environment and delivers day‑to‑day HR services for assigned client groups.

Key responsibilities

• Provide general HR client service, including employee relations, coaching, engagement, development, and cultural change initiatives.
• Manage full‑cycle recruiting for hourly positions: posting vacancies, conducting interviews, processing hires in HR systems, and overseeing onboarding.
• Operate the HR front desk, process resignations, maintain employee records, and manage credential documentation.
• Collaborate with internal and cross‑functional teams on retention, absenteeism, workforce planning, and data‑driven reporting.
• Assist managers in creating accurate job descriptions and advising on HR decisions in line with legal and policy guidelines.
• Serve as point of contact for employee inquiries, handle disciplinary and conflict resolution processes, and ensure compliance with labor laws.
• Maintain training certification matrices, process promotion requests, and support inter‑departmental synergy.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
• At least 1 year of relevant HR experience.
• Strong communication skills in English.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiarity with HR information systems (e.g., C‑CURE).
